DaBaby and NBA Youngboy share the new project “Better Than You”.
After announcing it recently, DaBaby and NBA Youngboy join forces for a brand new joint album called “Better Than You”. The project is laced with recently released collaborations “Bestie/Hit” and “Neighborhood Superstar“.
This is Youngboy Never Broke Again’s third project of this year, following “Colors” and a joint album with Birdman “From The Bayou“. The new album contains a pack of 12 records, with no guest appearances.
Just the other day, DaBaby showed some love for the Baton Rouge Rapper. “I like NBA Youngboy a lot,” says DaBaby in a new interview. “I know he don’t get the credit he deserves for his music because of the stigma that surrounds him. He is a crazy talent. After my music, I probably like his music the most. Just because of his story and how he puts it out there, how shameless he is with putting it out there. And the type of music that he continues to make and not only that, how versatile he can be with it. How he can make this type of song and that type of song. I like it.”
DaBaby and YoungBoy have been working in the build up to their collaboration on Better Than You. YB has been promoting his new mixtape, Realer 2, since last month’s release of his Colors mixtape. On the Billboard 200 albums list, the album debuted at No. 2. He’s also been engrossed in a spat with Lil Durk, who just released “I Hate YoungBoy,” a diss track in which the rapper takes aim at a number of other artists and media outlets, including Boosie, Gucci Mane, Apple Music, and others.

DaBaby made an appearance at Kanye West’s Donda 2 concert in Miami to play “Jail” from the first Donda album. He’s also been releasing one-off tracks and freestyles, as well as paying a visit to the LA Leakers for a freestyle.
The 12-track project, which was released on Interscope and Atlantic Records, was created by DaBaby and NBA YoungBoy and had no features. In its first week, the mixtape is expected to sell between 25,000 and 30,000 units.
