Lil Baby & Lil Durk Drops New Joint Album The Voice of the Heroes

Lil Baby & Lil Durk releases the new album “The Voice of the Heroes”.

After all the rumors and hints in the past few months, Lil Baby and Lil Durk announced their joint project “The Voice of the Heroes” last month. It follows up the release of the title track last week along with an official video. Now the full album is available to stream on all platforms.

The project contains 18 tracks with guest appearances from Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Young Thug, and Rod Wave. The project is executive produced by James Harden.

On Memorial Day, Baby and Durkio released their first song from the album, “Voice of the Heroes,” ahead of the album’s release today on digital streaming platforms (May 31). The rappers narrate their difficulties and tribulations before achieving unmistakable success on the AutoTune-heavy track.

Lil Baby announced the album’s release date on social media last month but later took it off. It appeared to be a hasty announcement at the time. Baby, on the other hand, quickly reposted the identical photograph. Durk followed in his footsteps.

The Voice of the Heroes” is Lil Baby’s third full-length collaboration project. He and Marlo shared “2 the Hard Way” early in their careers. Then, in 2018, Baby and Gunna released “Drip Harder“, a full-length album that includes Drake’s “Never Recover.

Durkio hinted The Voice of the Heroes earlier this February when he informed someone on Twitter that he’ll FaceTime Lil Baby about the fan’s request for a collaborative album. He also gave his blessing to the idea via Instagram Stories, where he posted another fan’s Instagram poll while mentioning Lil Baby.

According to MRC Data, the album gained 150,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending June 10, driven almost entirely by the streaming activity of its songs. The hip-hop album, which was released on June 4, has guest appearances from Travis Scott, Meek Mill, Young Thug, and Rod Wave, all of whom have had their own No. 1 album.

This became Lil Baby’s second album to reach number one in the US and Lil Durk’s first. Additionally, the album’s songs were streamed 197.71 million times on demand. 16 tracks from the album also contained to chart on the US Billboard Hot 100, with “Hats Off” (with Travis Scott) and “Voice of the Heroes” reaching their highest positions there at numbers 16 and 21, respectively.
