Kehlani Drops Her Fifth Album ‘Kehlani’, A Personal and Star-Studded Project.
After days of teasing and building excitement online, Kehlani has finally released her fifth self-titled studio album, Kehlani. The project arrived on April 24, 2026, the same day as her 31st birthday, making it feel even more special for both her and her fans. This is a follow-up to her 2024 album “Crash” and “While We Wait 2” project in the same year.
This album feels like one of her most personal works yet. At the same time, it also shows how many different styles and influences she’s comfortable working with. From emotional R&B moments to more upbeat and collaborative tracks, Kehlani has a bit of everything. “i am honored to present you with the album. enjoy it. live in it. love through it. i love you l, thank you God,” she wrote on the release.
One thing that immediately caught everyone’s attention was the feature list. There are 10 guest artists on the album, which is a lot, but it somehow doesn’t feel overcrowded. Artists like Lil Wayne and Big Sean bring strong rap verses, while legends like Missy Elliott and Usher add a classic touch. You also get guest appearances from Cardi B, T-Pain, and others, making the album feel diverse and exciting.

Before the full album release, Kehlani dropped three singles, “Folded,” “Out the Window,” and “Back and Forth” featuring Missy Elliott. These songs gave fans a small preview of what was coming, and they set the tone for the album pretty well.
The album was executive produced by Khris Riddick-Tynes, who played a big role in shaping the sound. The project also include production from the likes of Babyface, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Jermaine Dupri, and others.
The tracklist includes a mix of solo songs and collaborations. Some standout tracks include “ANOTHA LUVA” with Lil Wayne, “BACK AND FORTH” with Missy Elliott, “POCKET” with Cardi B, “SHOULDA NEVER” with Usher, “No Such Thing” with Clipse, and “LIGHTS ON” with Detroit’s Big Sean.
Overall, Kehlani feels like a well-balanced album. Whether you’re into R&B, hip-hop, or just good music in general, this album has something for you.
