Cordae Releases New Album From A Bird's Eye View Feat. Nas, Eminem & More

Cordae shares his new album “From A Bird’s Eye View”.

After officially announcing it last month, Cordae has dropped his long-awaited new album “From A Bird’s Eye View”. The project is his second studio album, after 2019’s debut effort “The Lost Boy“. It follows up his “Just Until…” EP which dropped earlier this year.

Before to the album’s release, the young rapper issued a message outlining how to listen to From A Bird’s Eye View:“So the album drops tonight!

Each individual song has a significant place in my heart as they were all inspired by real life events, emotions and experiences. With that being said I ask ya’ll to please listen to songs 1-12 (Shilohs Intro-Westlake High) from top to bottom with no pauses, skips or interruptions. As this is the way it was intended to be listened to, especially the first time around. As a complete body of work. Thank you kindly for your ears and support. Love!”

The project contains 14 tracks, including the previously released lead single “Sinister” with Lil Wayne & Hit-Boy. The additional guest appearances come from Eminem on “Parables (Remix)”, Gunna on “Today”, H.E.R. and Lil Durk on “Chronicles”, Freddie Gibbs, Nas, & Stevie Wonder on “Champagne Glasses” and Roddy Ricch on the bonus track “Gifted”.

Cordae describes the 12-song album as more “memory-driven” than his 2019 debut, The Lost Boy, which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard 200. From being arrested at the protest (“I just got that expunged recently,” he says), to taking his first trip to the motherland (visiting slave dungeons in Egypt and Ghana in 2020), to losing his childhood best friend.

During his recent visit to The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Cordae revealed the meaning behind the project title. “It means to see things from outside of yourself,” he said. “You know as human beings we tend to all have like, main character syndrome. But it’s to see things from a more zoomed out lens.”

Earlier this week, Cordae also made his return to Power 106 for another LA Leakers freestyle, where he spazzed over Biggie, Jadakiss & Kodak Black’s Beats.
