New Video Nas - Wave Gods (Feat. ASAP Rocky, DJ Premier & Hit-Boy)

Nas releases video for “Wave Gods” with ASAP Rocky, DJ Premier and Hit-Boy.

Nas returns with some new material as he connects with ASAP Rocky for the music video of their collaboration called “Wave Gods”. The track is produced by DJ Premier & Hit-Boy, who also makes an appearance in the official visual. The track appeared on Nas’ most recent project “Magic“, which was his third straight collab album with Hit-Boy. “Every choice you make, makes you,” the visual states at the start.

“We goin’ home like Eric Cartman, chromosomes on my conscience / Hear some ni**as talkin’ nonsense, call up Nasty Nastradamus / Rock the pearls and diamonds, break the promise, break her wallets / Break her heart and break her pockets, takin’ notes like guidance counselors,” raps Rocky.

“Wake up out the bed, wrap my durag up / Say a prayer, I’m thankin’ God that mom dukes had us / Monotone style like Guru on some Preemo cuts / Crewneck by McQueen, go nuts,” raps Nas.

Nas recently collaborated with Snoop Dogg on the BODR (Bacc on Death Row) tune “Conflicted,” which was also produced by Hit-Boy, for the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. Snoop claimed the album was “particularly important” in his discography since it was a real “full-circle moment” in his career in a press release at the time.

The high-energy video accompanying the track offers a whirlwind tour of its subject matter, with Rocky (clad in a Circle Jerks t-shirt) starting off by getting up and lighting a joint. The video then shows Rocky being robbed of his suitcase in a crowd, and later being joined by Nas for a striking overhead shot.

Nas was rumoured earlier this year to be working with Google and others to assist a mobile game publisher located in Cape Town, South Africa, obtain millions in funding. Riot Games, Chipper Cash, Sky Mavis, and other THR-reported investors behind Carry1st include Riot Games, Chipper Cash, Sky Mavis, and others.
