The Weeknd drops the ‘Blinding Lights’ video.
After giving us the visual for the ‘Heartless‘ video last month, The Weeknd returns with the official video for his other new song called ‘Blinding Lights‘.
The album received critical acclaim around the world, and two of the singles, “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights,” went platinum and topped the Billboard Hot 100. By the end of December, “Blinding Lights” had become the most downloaded song on Spotify for the entire year of 2020. “Blinding Lights” was far peppier than its predecessor, but with its bleak yearning for love, it reminded some of the singer’s earlier work, more or less mining the same drug-fueled stuff that made early albums like House of Balloons legitimate smashes back when his identity was still mostly unknown.
