Drake drops the “Way 2 Sexy” video with Future & Young Thug.
Drake continues dropping new material as he releases a new music video for his song called “Way 2 Sexy“. The song features assistance from Future and Young Thug. It is the first video from his new album “Certified Lover Boy“.
The visual is directed by Dave Meyers and it shows Drizzy in different scenarios. First, he’s working out with a bunch of girls, then an animated version of him in a supermarket, then an old Drake with a big tummy talking a walk on the beach, then he becomes a pirate on a ship, and more. He also copies Michael Jackson’s dance move with his attire. Drake also appears in a “Rambo” spoof which is titled DRAMBO.
Drake mouthing the Right Said Fred sample on the song, Young Thug going through the months with numerous seasonal looks, Aubrey donning a dad bod, and Kawhi Leonard turning up for a quick cameo are all worth mentioning. There’s also a brief interlude in which Drizzy promotes his new scent, “Wet, by Drake.”
Recently, Kawhi Leonard makes a hilariously odd cameo appearance in Drake’s latest music video. Drake unveiled a new music video for “Certified Lover Boy,” the first single off his sixth studio album, “Way 2 Sexy,” along with the release of “Certified.” The Fun Guy himself, of course, had to make an appearance. Even without saying “what it do bay-bee,” Kawhi Leonard managed to re-establish himself in Toronto lore.
Dark Lane Demo Tapes, a commercial mixtape featuring 14 tracks and collaborations from GIVON, Chris Brown, Playboi Carti, Fivio Foreign, and others, was released last year. He also released Scary Hours 2 in March, and in addition to Drake and Rick Ross’ “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” being heavily remixed by other rap peers, the project’s other two tracks, “What’s Next” and the Lil Baby-assisted “Wants and Needs,” peaked at number one and two on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, respectively.
Drake’s Certified Lover Boy emerged on streaming sites in the early hours of Friday, following a lot of teasing and some back-and-forth with Kanye West throughout the lengthy promotion of his album Donda. CLB is the 6 God’s first full-length studio album since 2018 Scorpion, and it features cameos from Jay-Z, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, and others.
Drake’s ninth straight number-one album in the United States, Certified Lover Boy debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 list. With 46,000 album sales and 562,000 streaming units estimated from the album’s 743.7 million on-demand streams, it debuted with 613,000 album-equivalent units. The 613,000 figure surpassed Kanye West’s Donda as the greatest debut-week units of 2021. (309,000).
