Watch Rihanna Performs Lift Me Up At Oscars 2023

Rihanna delivers a performance at the 2023 Oscars.

The 95th annual Academy Awards took place earlier tonight at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, and is hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Following her performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show last month, Rihanna returns with another performance for the 2023 Oscars.

Riri performed her song titled “Lift Me Up“, which served as the single for Marvel’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” film Soundtrack. The single is “a tribute to the extraordinary life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman,” who starred in the first Black Panther film and passed away in 2020 at the age of 43.

Rihanna’s track was also nominated for Best Original Song this year but lost to MM Keeravaani and Chandrabose’s “Naatu Naatu” from the Indian film RRR.

During last month’s Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna took the stage for her first live performance since the 2018 Grammys. She delivered renditions of several of her most popular tracks, such as “Where Have You Been,” “Only Girl (in the World),” “Work,” and “We Found Love.” Notably absent from the setlist was “Lift Me Up.” Additionally, Rihanna generated headlines by announcing her second pregnancy during the show.
