Watch The Game Spits Fire In LA Leakers Freestyle Over Hit-Boy Beat

The Game visit Power 106 for LA Leakers freestyle.

The Game is getting ready for the release of his long-awaited album “DRILLMATIC – Heart vs. Mind”, which is slated to drop in a couple of weeks on August 12th. The rapper now continues the promo as he made an appearance on Power 106’s Liftoff Show.

The Compton emcee sat down with hosts Justin Credible and DJ Sourmilk for their LA Leakers freestyle series, where he spits fire over an exclusive Hit-Boy instrumental.

“Ain’t no competition, so Kendrick went to Africa / Ain’t no competition Cole went and got his baskets up / But I’m here masking up, with the masking tape, feins knocking on the door, we closed, don’t ask for Ye / You see the Aftermath chains then don’t ask for Dre / I’m a legend now, f**k when I pass away,” he raps.

Drillmatic: Heart vs. Mind, which was initially due to release on June 17, was recently delayed by Game until July 1 before being postponed once again. It will be his official follow-up to his 2019 album Born 2 Rap when the LP is released.

The 41-year-old predicted Drillmatic would be the year’s finest song back in May. He stated in a since-deleted Instagram post, “I know my album gone be the best album of 2022, ’cause the energy feels like I just signed my deal,” “You’ve never heard me rap like this, I promise you.”

Before deciding on the album title, Game said he sought the approval of both Nas and Chicago drill legend Lil Durk. “Originally, I gave [the title] Drillmatic to Durk because he’s from the Chi and it has the whole drill thing,” he explained. “I text Durk like, ‘Yo, call your next album Drillmatic.’ And he was like, ‘Yo, that’s fire.’ And then two years passed and he didn’t call nothing Drillmatic so I was like, ‘I’ma reel that back in.’”

“When it drops, I promise you that if you put your ear to it you will then understand why I’m the best rapper alive,” he said. “My controversy has always stepped on my greatness, but that’s all about to change. This album has a strong hold on being the best album of my career. It’s just different… the last time I pulled over & wrote in my car was ‘I don’t need your love’ on The Documentary. Only thing is, back then it was a U-Haul. Today I pulled over the G-Wagon on Labrea because I couldn’t believe how dope the shit in my head was.”
