Tyler, The Creator Is Not A Fan of NFTs It's A Fking Monkey In A Supreme Hoodie

Tyle, the Creator is confused over NFTs.

While the craze of buying NFTs is growing rapidly among celebrities, especially hip hop artists, some artist isn’t quite down with it yet. Recently, Kanye West said that stop asking him about NFTs as he’s only interested in real-life things. “Stop asking me to do NFT’s I’m not finna co-sign … for now I’m not on that wave I make music and products in the real world,” wrote Kanye West on his IG.

Now Tyler, the Creator joins the Donda rapper as another artist who’s not a fan of the metaverse, especially the “Bored Ape” NFT. “I’m really outside living… So what the f**k is an NFT?” he questions in the latest interview with Converse. “I paint at home, I play instruments. I have a friend who’s making me speakers by hand right now. What the f**k is a NFT?”

Some individuals agree with Tyler and don’t see the point of paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for an image that doesn’t provide concrete rewards of ownership like other types of art. That isn’t necessarily the rapper’s complaint.

He continues, “The idea of NFT which I am not fully informed so im kind of speaking out of this surface-level ignorance… So excuse me. But the idea of a NFT is like art of something. But None of the examples that I’ve seen is like, beautiful art. It’s a f**king monkey in a Supreme hoodie.”
