Today Marks 18th Anniversary of Eminem's "The Eminem Show" Album

Eminem’s one of the most successful albums “The Eminem Show” turns 19.

Today Marks the 19th Anniversary of Eminem‘s fourth studio album “The Eminem Show” which was released via Aftermath Entertainment, Shady Records, and Interscope Records. The album is one of the top works of Eminem’s career and it includes commercially successful singles like ‘Without Me‘, ‘Superman‘, ‘Cleanin’ Out My Closet‘, and ‘Sing for the Moment‘.

The album featured D12, Dr. Dre, Nate Dogg, and Obie Trice, but it was most significant for introducing the public to a more mature, socially conscious Eminem, who served as both producer and lyricist on several songs, abandoning his Slim Shady alter ego.

“Without Me,” “Cleanin’ Out My Closet,” “Superman,” and “Sing for the Moment” were among the album’s many successes. And, perhaps more crucially, “Till I Collapse,” which was never released as a single but has since become one of Marshall’s most recognizable and well-known songs.

It won the Grammy Award at 2003 Grammys for Best Rap Album as it was the best-selling album of 2002 in the US with over 7.6 million copy sales and it topped the charts in 19 countries which include the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. The 20 track album became certified Diamond on March 7, 2011, making it his second album to receive that award after his third studio album ‘The Marshall Mathers LP’. Since its release in 2002, the album has sold over 10,600,000 copies in the US and over 30 million copies worldwide.

Platinum awards, “Till I Collapse” is the album’s highest certified song. It’s also the most-streamed track on the album. It now has 1.06 billion Spotify streams, with a margin of nearly 190 million between it and the second-placed song, “Without Me,” which has 815 million streams.
