The Weeknd & Ariana Grande Earns Billboard Hot 100 #1 Hit With Die For You Remix

The Weeknd & Ariana Grande earns 7th Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit.

The Weeknd and Ariana Grande teamed up for their new collab, a remix for the song “Die For You“. The duo now scored another #1 hit on Billboard Hot 100 with the release. This is Weeknd & Ari’s seventh #1 song on the charts each. This is Ariana’s 5th #1 hit on the Hot 100 this decade, which is the most by a female artist. The only one ahead of her is the Korean boy band BTS with 6. The track also breaks the record for the longest climb to #1 on the Hot 100 for a non-holiday song in history (over 6 years after release).

The Weeknd previously earned #1 hits with his songs “Can’t Feel My Face”, “The Hills”, “Starboy”, “Heartless”, “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears”, While Grande topped the charts with “thank u, next”, “7 rings”, “stuck with u”, “Rain On Me”, “positions” and “Save Your Tears”.

The Weeknd has achieved a new record on the Hot 100 chart with his song “Die For You,” which climbed to No. 1 in the second-longest time ever. The only other song to achieve a longer climb to the top spot is Mariah Carey’s popular holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas,” which debuted at No. 83 in January 2000 and finally hit No. 1 in December 2019.

The original version of the song was released in 2017, as part of the Canadian singer’s third studio album “Starboy”. This was their fourth collaboration, as they previously worked on the “Off The Table“, “Love Me Harder” and “Save Your Tears” remix.
