Taylor Swift makes history with the new album “Midnights”.

Taylor Swift made her return with her new studio album “Midnights”, and as expected, she breaks multiple records with the project. Swift’s new project make Spotify history as it kicked off the journey with the biggest-ever album debut. The album was streamed over 228.2M times on the first day and becomes the first project to surpass 200 million. The record was previously held by Bad Bunny with 183.2 million, followed by Drake with 176.8 million.

According to HDD, the album is also projected to move 1.2 million equivalent units in the first week. As reported by Billboard, the project sold more than 800,000 copies in the U.S. through its first day across all available formats.

It also had the biggest sales weekly for a lp since Taylor Swift’s own Reputation (2017) and the highest number of vinyl records sold in a week since 1991. The album sold over 1.2 million units in three days, with 955,000 album sales and 284 million streaming.

The album already has the largest sales week for any album since 2017, is the top-selling album of 2022, and sets a modern-era record for single-week vinyl album sales. The record for the biggest album sale this year was Harry Styles with 620,000 copies sold with “Harry’s House”.
