Along with topping the charts, Taylor Swift also ties Kanye West and Eminem as the artist with the most consecutive #1 album debuts on Billboard 200. All three artists now have 10 consecutive chart-topping projects in Billboard History. Eminem first broke Kanye West’s record last year with “Music To Be Murdered By“, but Ye again joined Eminem with his latest album “DONDA“. Taylor Swift also becomes the fastest female artist in US history to earn a milestone ten #1 albums on the Billboard 200.

Red opened at number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States, selling 1.21 million copies in its first week. Swift’s third consecutive Billboard 200 top spot. Red sold over 3.1 million copies in just over two months. It sold the most copies in a single week in 2012, surpassing Garth Brooks’ 1998 record Double Life as the fastest-selling country album. Swift was honoured in Guinness World Records as the “First Solo Female with Two Million-Selling Weeks on the U.S. Albums Chart” for her accomplishment.

Swift’s eighth number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and the longest number-one song of all time, “All Too Well (10 Minute Version); 25 other singles from the album also appeared on the Hot 100 the same week, breaking the record for the most single-week new entries by an artist.

It was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2013 Country Music Association Awards, as well as Album of the Year and Best Country Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards.

Kanye West recently addressed tying another record with Eminem during his “Drink Champs” interview. “I have recently read that you are one of two artists that has went 10 million and produced their own record,” said N.O.R.E. “Yeah, Eminem also,” responds Kanye. “Eminem. That’s lit, right? It’s like ambidextrous. It feels like it’s another example that I could show you all that we could build communities.”
