T.I. Responds After Getting Booed At His First Paid Comedy Set

T.I. gets booed during a comedy concert at the Barclays Center.

After being in the rap game for over two decades, T.I. has recently been trying his hands in the stand-up comedy world. The Atlanta rapper finally got his first paid comedy gig with big names like Nick Cannon, B. Simone, Rip Michaels, Bruce Bruce and more, for a performance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. However, the first show from Tip didn’t go well for the rapper, as he was booed by the large crowd at the event yesterday.

After the show, the rapper hopped on to IG live with Michael Blackson, who was also one of comedian at the concert.

Rip Micheals confirmed Tip’s visit to Brooklyn during an interview on The Breakfast Club. “Angry T.I. is going to be there, and whatever you do, don’t make any se**al allegations about T.I. cause apparently he’ll rip your wig off or whatever,” he added, referring to the incident involving comedian Lauren Knight and Tip.

“Did you enjoy that feeling of being booed? You liked that?,” asked Blackson. “Yes. I loved it.” responds T.I. “I didn’t feel like they was booing me like that. I felt like they was booing me as like, ‘I dare you to be more funny. I dare you to be more funny. I dare you to overcome this. I dare you to do better.’ I felt like that’s what they were challenging me to do and I did it.”

He added, “I don’t care what they show, I’m not seeking anybody’s validation. I’m not here for nobody else’s approval. I don’t give a damn.”

He went on to say that he had a joke about T.I. that he didn’t like “Women who listen to their best friends that haven’t had a girl since T.I.’s wife was pretty. I said ‘was pretty.’ I used to love her when she was in Xscape. But he got so mad and it turned into this whole thing.”
