Kanye West’s “Donda 2” is being released now.
Kanye West, better known by his stage name Ye, has released Donda 2, the follow-up to his tenth studio album Donda. Kanye West’s new album “Donda 2” is released exclusively on Stem Player.
Digital Nas said that West directed him to make the songs sound “more monk-like” and “simplify the tunes” for Donda 2, and that if they are “not able to be played at a funeral, child birth, graduation, or wedding,” then they are not acceptable for inclusion on the album. [4] The producer revealed in late January 2022 that Marilyn Manson was recording for Donda 2 on a regular basis at the studio. A secret listening party for Donda 2 was hosted at Nobu Malibu on February 7, 2022, with Travis Scott, fellow rappers Offset, French Montana, Yung Lean, and Drake, as well as models Kendall Jenner and Chaney Jones in attendance.
Kanye West has revealed that his new album, Donda 2, will be available for streaming exclusively on his Stem platform. Stem Player isn’t a streaming service at all. According to its website, it’s a little gadget that costs roughly $200 and allows users to separate music into “stems.”
The Bluetooth gadget can isolate different elements of songs and regulate voices, percussion, and bass. Kanye West developed The Stem Player last year in collaboration with Kano Computing, and it also features his album Donda. It offers 8 GB of storage, USB-C, Bluetooth, or a 3.5mm headphone port for connectivity, and a 97db speaker.
Ye continues to collaborate with controversial artists like Marilyn Manson and DaBaby, who both performed at the Miami listening party, and XXTentacion, who features on ‘True Love’ and ‘Selfish’ posthumously. The previously-released ‘City Of Gods’ (with Fivio Foreign and Alicia Keys) and the Soulja Boy-assisted ‘First Time In A Long Time’ are among the 12 new tracks added overnight. There are also two tracks on the album with guest appearances from the late XXTentacion (opening ‘True Love’ and ‘Selfish’), as well as two songs with Future (‘Happy’ and ‘Keep It Burning’). Future is also said to have executive produced the album.
The rapper previously took to his Instagram and wrote, “Donda 2 will only be available on my own platform, the Stem Player. Not on Apple Amazon Spotify or YouTube. Nevertheless, Kanye West’s ninth studio album, Donda, was released in August 2021 following the album’s third listening session, named Kanye West Presents The Donda Album Experience, held on Thursday at Soldier Field in Chicago. Donda set the record for the most first-day streams for an album on Apple Music and Spotify in 2021. It was West’s tenth straight number one on the US Billboard 200, tying Eminem’s record.
The songs from the new album are being released one by one on the Stem Player, and four tracks are already uploaded. The full project includes guest appearances from Future, Travis Scott, Soulja Boy, Migos, Jack Harlow, The Game, Baby Keem and more.
