Snoop Dogg Reveals His Top 5 West Coast Rappers; Ice-T Responds

Ice-T responds to being praised by Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg puts out a list of his favourite West Coast emcees. During a recent interview, the Death Row mogul was asked about his top 5 greatest West Coast rappers. The rapper responded and named Ice Cube, Ice-T, E-40, Too Short and himself.

The clip went viral on social media and also caught the eye of Ice-T. “Thanks for the LOVE @snoopdogg. You’re in my opinion the most Famous and Recognizable rapper of all time,” wrote Ice-T in response.

Ice-T has been in the rap game since the late 1980s and released multiple solo studio albums, projects with the group Body Count, and several collab albums. However, the rapper hasn’t released a solo album in over 17 years, as he last dropped his eighth album “Gangsta Rap” in 2006.

“I got a rap project coming out and it’s called…First, I’ve never spoken on it yet… It’s called, The Legend of ICE-T “Crime Stories” Vol 1 & 2,” he told AllHipHop.

The ‘Law & Order’ actor then added that he’s coming for Slick Rick’s King Of Stories’ Throne. “It’s a compilation of all my story rhymes from all eight albums and about six new songs that are all story-based,” he added. “You know, they say Slick Rick is the king of stories. I’m coming for that throne. Wait till you hear this. These are all my story records from ‘6 ’N the Mornin’’ to ‘Midnight’ and all these adventures put into one album. It’s a double vinyl release, it has two vinyls and it’s gonna be like a classic collector’s piece. The reason it’s titled The Legend of ICE-T is because a lot of things people believe about me are legend.”
