Snoop Dogg Reveals He Is Collaborating With Korean Band BTS On A New Song

A new Snoop Dogg and BTS’ song is on the way.

BTS, the South Korean boy band is probably the most popular musicial group and has one of the biggest fan army. The 7 members group now has a song with a rap legend, who’s none other than Snoop Dogg. During the American Song Contest red carpet on Monday, the Long Beach legend confirmed that a collaboration with BTS is on the way.

“The BTS experience you keep talking about,” he told The A.V. Club. “I’m going to let them tell you about it. It’s official like a referee with a whistle. I love that entertainment world. It’s good music. It’s [a] vibe. I make good music. They make good music. And we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together.”

Earlier this year, Dogg revealed that he received a request from the group to work together. “I got a group named BTS that’s waiting on me to do a song with them right now. And I’m trying to figure out if I got time to do that sh*t,” he said on the Mogul Talk podcast. The rapper said that got to know from his nephew about how big the BTS group actually is. “[He] showed me five motherf**kers who look like the Asian New Edition,” says Snoop. “I said okay.”

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to K-pop, having previously collaborated with Girls Generation and 2NE1. He also appeared in Psy’s song “Hangover,” which was released in 2014. “I’ve been experiencing the K-pop experience for a long time, connected to the music world (and) scene,” he said, adding, “I got a record with a group called 2NE1 back in the day. Come on now, it’s what I do.”
