Safaree Samuels doesn’t like how Kanye West’s dressing lately.
Kanye West has been one of the most influential people in music as well as fashion. The mind behind his billion-dollar apparel brand Yeezy always comes with some new creative designs with his sneakers and other clothing items. While millions of fans look up to Ye, Safaree Samuels is bothered by the way “DONDA” rapper dressing in the past couple of years.
Nicki Minaj’s ex Samuels says that Kanye West was an inspiration with clothes, but now only wears the same outfits repeatedly. Safaree is referencing Kanye West‘s recent appearances, as he was seen wearing the same clothes throughout the week on various places.
“I’ve always been a Kanye fan but I really hate how he’s been dressing these last 2 years,” wrote Safaree. “he [Kanye] use to be inspiration with clothes and jewelry. Now this guy just wears hoodies and black gloves and it bothers me [Laughing emoji]”.
“Well he’s still the inspiration because these companies are knocking off his GAP jacket. Just because he doesn’t wear tacky furs like you do, doesn’t mean he isn’t a fashion icon. Icons do what they want, you do what you can,” a fan responds.
Whatever your feelings about the multi-hyphenate, there’s no doubting he’s made a lasting stamp on the fashion industry. He’s been dubbed “one of entertainment’s best-dressed personalities,” and he’s built friendships with people like Vogue editor Anna Wintour, designers Riccardo Tisci and Haider Ackermann, and the late Virgil Abloh. Kanye has also gained practical experience in the fashion industry, having interned at Fendi, partnered with Nike and Adidas, and created his enormously successful Yeezy label.
