Ray J Reacts To Eminem & Kanye West Songs Mentioning Him

Ray J reacts to Kanye West, Eminem & more lyrics on him.

Ray J recently sat down with Genius’ for their ‘Between The Lines‘ episode where he broke down several lyrics that mention him, including Eminem, Kanye West, and more.

Ray J provides his thoughts on bars that reference his name on an episode of Genius’s “Between The Lines.” Despite seeing lines from Eminem, City Girls’ JT, Rick Ross, and others, the big event was his response to Kanye West’s name drop.

In the 2016 track ‘Highlights‘, Kanye West raps:

“I bet me and Ray J would be friends
If we ain’t love the same b–ch
Yeah, he might have hit it first
Only problem is I’m rich”

That’s what it say in the song? No it don’t. That was cool. That’s like he having a conversation,” says Ray J, revealing that he hadn’t heard the latter two lines. “I didn’t know it said all of that. I thought it just ended after the b*tch line.

His son Epik Norwood was born on Tuesday night and Ray J is now a proud father of two. The “One Wish” singer made the announcement in a video posted to YouTube on December 30. In the video, he apologised to his wife Princess Love for the fight they had about Ray leaving Love and their daughter Melody behind in Las Vegas with a new woman. “I love you princess love! And my babygirl melody!” he captioned the post. “I don’t ever wanna lose our time together. I’m sorry for everything. 2020 will be somthing (sic) very special.

Ray J went on to praise Jay-Z and Kanye West’s album Watch the Throne as a masterpiece “Perhaps we should be buddies now,” he says, after praising “one of the best albums of all time.” Everyone needs to put that s—t behind them. The year is 2021. Over here, it’s all about love. Let’s join our hearts in love.”

Ray isn’t the only rapper Ye’d like to collaborate with. The star was blown away by City Girls’ “Make ’em wish like Ray J” lyric in their remix of “Say Sum,” and extended an invitation to collaborate. He screamed, “That’s exactly what the f—k we need!” “Please, guy, let’s collaborate. City Girls, please, let’s collaborate. Let’s collaborate on some technologies. I got a few of bags. I was able to secure some chances for us. My dream is for City Girls to make them wish like Ray J. Ray J’s aim is for City Girls to join me in learning some of this technology.”

He continues, “Listen, Watch the Throne is one of the greatest albums of all time. Hands down. And the concert, that was some of the craziest sh-t and some of the most simple creative masterpieces I’ve ever experienced. Maybe we might need to be friends now. Everybody needs to just put all that sh-t behind. It’s 2021. It’s all love over here. Let’s bring the love together. It’s all good man, God bless.

Ray J also reacted to Eminem mentioning him on last year’s hit ‘Godzilla‘ where he raps:

This beat is cray-cray, Ray J, h-a, h-a, h-a.

Man, you always wanna get an Eminem mention,” says Ray J. “I don’t know, that’s at the highest level of it. Somebody get Eminem on the phone. Let me say what’s up and let me soak up some knowledge real quick. Let me come learn some sh*t or give me some goddamn publishing.
