Post Malone and Swae Lee make RIAA history with “Sunflower”.

Post Malone and Swae Lee’s hit collab “Sunflower” makes RIAA history as the song first reaches 2x Diamond status. As per the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the song has now sold over 20 million units in the USA.

The track was released in 2018 as a single from the soundtrack to the animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, and also on Malone’s third studio album “Hollywood’s Bleeding”. At the time of release, the song became Malone’s third and Lee’s first song as a soloist to top the US Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. Sunflower earned a nomination for Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Currently, the music video for Sunflower also has over 2.3 Billion views on Youtube.

Last year, Malone broke the record for the most diamond-certified singles in RIAA history. The Diamond songs includes “Better Now”, “I Fall Apart”, and “Circles”, “Psycho”, “Congratulations”, “Rockstar”, “White Iverson” and “Sunflower” with 2x Diamond.
