Offset Breaks Silence On Takeoff's Death & Pays Tribute My Heart Is Shattered

Offset shares a statement on Takeoff’s death.

Offset has been away from social media since the death of his Migos partner Takeoff, who was killed a couple of weeks ago in Houston. After attending the Emotional Memorial Service in their hometown Atlanta, the rapper finally breaks the silence on the internet.

“Dear Take, The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare,” he wrote on his IG with some pictures.

Offset continued, “Every time you would see me, you didn’t give me a dap you gave me a hug. I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one last time. Perform one last time. I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled.”

“Give me strength, give your brothers strength, give your family strength. Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream. I love you forever, 4L and after.”

The hip-hop artist who pioneered the “Migos flow” musical genre has been publicly grieved by both fans and famous people. The 21,000-seat State Farm Arena in his birthplace of Atlanta, Georgia, was full for a public tribute that was conducted there last week. Offset was seen addressing the congregation in pictures from the ceremony.

On November 13, Takeoff’s uncle, Quavo of the Migos, offered a written remembrance of the deceased. Only Built for Infinity Links, the pair’s collaborative album, was released in October. Gucci Mane released a brand-new song titled “Letter to Takeoff” in the days after Takeoff’s open memorial ceremony in Atlanta. As a result of the rapper’s passing, no one has been arrested.

Just a few days ago, Cardi B and Quavo also shares tribute to the rapper on their social media.
