Nick Cannon Mourns As His Youngest Child Died From Brain Tumor

Nick Cannon tearfully reveals that his youngest son died from brain cancer.

The TV presenter and actor Nick Cannon revealed the devastating news that his Youngest Son, Zen had passed away due to brain cancer. The 41-year-old tearfully announced the news on his The Nick Cannon Show, revealing that his song battled Hydrocephalus, a brain cancer disease.

“I always noticed he had a cough and so I wanted to check it out,” said Cannon while showing pictures of his son. “He had this interesting breathing and by the time he was two months, I noticed he had this nice sized head too, a Cannon head. We didn’t think anything of it. But I wanted to take him to the doctor for his sinus and breathing. We thought it would be routine.”

Nick Cannon then said that check-up revealed a tumour in the baby’s brain, for which he had to go through surgery, but the condition became worse at Thanksgiving. “Ultimately, it was cancer in the brain and the tumor began to grow a lot faster. And so we knew that time was,” he said. “This weekend I made a valid effort to spend the most quality time I could spend with Zen. We woke up on Sunday. I got to spend the weekend with him… and I woke up on Sunday and was like, ‘I feel like I want to go to the water.’ We got a chance to go to the ocean.”

“I didn’t know how I was going to handle today, but I just wanted to grieve with my family,” he told the audience and saying that today’s episode was dedicated to his son.

Zen is the youngest of Cannon’s children, whom he has with model Alyssa Scott. Mariah Carey is the mother of his oldest children, 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. “I didn’t know how I was gonna handle today but I just really wanted to grieve with my family,” Cannon said, gesturing to his studio audience.”I prayed for the miracle of God’s strength, and that’s why I’m here with you guys today.”
