MTV VMAs 2023 Nominations Taylor Swift & SZA Dominates

MTV announces 2023 Video Music Awards nominations.

Ahead of this year’s MTV Videos Music Awards 2023 on September 12 at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center, the platform has announced the nominations.

This year, Taylor Swift leads with the most 8 nominations, followed by SZA with six nominations. They were followed by Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Smith and Kim Petras with five nominations each. The 2023 ceremony will feature 35 artists with their first-ever nominations, which includes the likes of GloRilla, Ice Spice, PinkPantheress, Flo Milli and more.

In the Best Hip-hop category, Nicki Minaj, Metro Boomin, Future, Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, DMX, Lil Uzi Vert, GloRilla, Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Drake, Lil Baby, Diddy, Ashanti and more earn a nomination.

Nicki Minaj has had a great past year, she was nominated for Video of the Year, artist of the year, best hip-hop, best R&B and best visual effects.
