Dr. Dre accused of Threatening Moniece Slaughter over Apryl Jones.
The legendary producer Dr. Dre was recently spotted with Apryl Jones, the mother of Omarion’s child, which created speculations of both of them dating. Now, Moniece Slaughter, the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star confirmed that the rap mogul indeed dating Apryl Jones for some time and also accused Dre of threatening her through someone over the phone.
“I don’t take kindly to threats,” says Moniece in her IG Live. “I’m trying to save it for the interview tomorrow but I don’t know if I can hold it, how dare you send a ni**a to bang my muthaf**kin’ line and threaten me? I don’t care who you think you are, I don’t care who the world has told you you are. I don’t know you and you don’t know me and I didn’t say anything negative about you, sir. And it wasn’t negative.”
She continues, “So don’t you send another muthaf**ka to this phone of mine to make one more f**king threat. Yeah, Dr. Dre. And I recorded it. Wrong f**king b*tch. Wrong move, muthaf**ka. Suck my di*k, you’re done. I f**king recorded both conversations, you’re f**ked up the a**. You thought that aneurysm f**ked you up, I’m the aneurysm b**ch.”

“To the person that asked me if Apryl and Dre are together, yes they are,” she said. “It’s been a while that they’ve been together. It’s not new. I’ve known for a while. I was shocked just because of her public announcement that she’s polyamorous. I was surprised that someone as established and refined as Dre would almost wife her.”
After the two were supposedly sighted together, rumors flew that Jones is now dating Dr. Dre. Jones mentioned seeing someone in an interview with Madame Noire, but she did not name anyone.
“I am dating. And…I’m not looking for anything,” she said. I’ma say I’m not looking. I just feel like…I am dating and I’m open and I feel like what I am hoping to experience is just a great exchange of energy with somebody that feels different and I’ll know it when I feel it. But that’s just where I’m at with it.”
Dre is now involved in a protracted divorce with his estranged wife Nicole Young, who filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage in June 2020. Their dispute centers on a prenuptial agreement she signed in 1996 and claims should be thrown out. He consented to a one-time payment of $2 million in spousal support in addition to the roughly $200,000 he now pays monthly while recovering from a reported brain aneurysm last month.
Even when a divorce is imminent, Dr. Dre is still acting wisely in the business world. The L.A. Board of Education gave him and Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine permission to build a public high school in Los Angeles in the autumn of 2022. The forthcoming Warner Bros. Marvin Gaye movie What’s Going On will be produced by the 2001 rapper as well.
Recently Dr. Dre was admitted to the hospital as he suffered from a Brain Aneurysm. After having a health scare in January, the rapper and producer was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles’ intensive care unit.
Dre was photographed at the studio with The D.O.C in front of a mixing board just days after he was released from the hospital. He was said to be working on his rumoured album ‘Detox.’
Meanwhile, Dr. Dre will be leading the charge at Super Bowl LVI’s halftime show in February, surrounded by his trainees (and fellow West Coast icons) Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar, his Detroit pupil Eminem, and his East Coast colleague Mary J. Blige.
