Missy Elliott and Lil Wayne again gives each other appreciation.

Lil Wayne continues his love and appreciation for legendary Missy Elliott as he now copped her a special gift. Elliott took to her social media to share pictures of a gift from Weezy, which is a customized jacket and an umbrella, which is a homage to her 1997 hit, “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly).”

“@LilTunechi again I Thank you for the Amazing coat that you had made for me (purple my favorite color) & you even got me the umbrella that say ‘I Can’t Stand The Rain’ on it!” Missy wrote. “It spell it out on the umbrella when it rains. I truly appreciate you.”

Just recently, Wayne revealed that he’s been a fan of Missy even before he heard of JAY-Z. “As a kid before Jay — this before I even knew a Jay-Z existed, I was into Missy Elliot,” he said. “Yeah and you know it was because you were able to [sic] you would say things that I would want to say as I’m rapping. You not only made me like—You made me love it.”

He continued, “And I became so interested in you. And what happened was I bought the album and did not know that you really was spitting like… You know what I mean. You know I spit that verse to you all the time. So, it was you and Cee-Lo Green was who I would listen to at the time a lot.”

Last year, Elliott also showed love for Wayne as he showed up for unveiling of her wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas. “@LilTunechi You have Birthed a whole generation after you & Its easy for people to acknowledge Some1’s GREATNESS when their no longer around but I want you to know YOU ARE LEGENDARY,” she wrote on Twitter. “No matter who thinks differently YOUR BLUEPRINT is PRESENT! No debate.”
