MF DOOM's Widow Posts Heartfelt Tribute On Rapper's Death Anniversary

MF DOOM passed away two years ago.

It’s been two years since the legendary MF DOOM passed away, and the rapper’s widow Jasmine Dumile pens a heartfelt message through his social media. She shared a picture of a cake with “We Miss U Old Dad” written over it, alongside the iconic mask.

“Begin all things by giving Thanks to THE ALL,” she wrote in the caption. “Today we celebrate DOOMSDAY for all those whom have gone before us. I now understand what Daniel was going through after his brother Raheem transitioned.”

“It’s an ache that is so deep it does not go away. I cry when I speak of him and cry when I hear the music. It is tears of joy of having the pleasure to have been with the man whom many call DOOM, we call him Old Dad. You will always be missed.”

“Thank you to all of the MF DOOM Fans,” she added in appreciation for the fans. “Thank you for all of your continued love and support. It means a lot. Peace and Blessing to All. HAPPY DOOMSDAY !!!!!! – Oh Oh The Widow Dumile.”

Zev Love X of the rap trio KMD, who put out the albums Mr. Hood and Black Bastards in 1991, was the foundation of MF Doom’s early career. Black Bastards was recorded with the intention of releasing it in 1994, however owing to the album’s contentious cover art, the release date was postponed. Dumile recorded a number of solo records and group records during the course of his career after reinventing himself as MF Doom in the second part of the 1990s. Additionally, he was well-known for putting out songs under a variety of names, most notably King Geedorah and Viktor Vaughn.
