Lil Wayne Says He Still Hasn't Reached His Peak I Wanna Be The Ultimate Artist

Lil Wayne claims he’s yet to reach his peak.

Lil Wayne has been in the game for over two decades, but the legendary artist still has that hunger inside him and he’s giving us more music than ever. The rapper was said to be the best-featured rapper of last year, as he gave us countless fire verses. While everyone thinks that Weezy was on top of the rap world in the late 2000s, the rapper claims that he’s yet to reach his peak.

Wayne’s career spans four decades, with everyone from 46-year-old Juvenile to 34-year-old Drake to 29-year-old Young Thug to 22-year-old Roddy hailing him as the best, and he’s still going strong. Jay-Z recently boasted about his “unprecedented run” on “Sorry Not Sorry,” and Wayne, true to their creative rivalry, is hot on his tail.

Lil Wayne linked up with Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and Wiz Khalifa for a round table discussion session, which was organised by Sovereign Brands, owners of Luc Belaire, Bumbu rum, McQueen and the Violet Fog gin, and Villon. “I still haven’t reached that vision that I see myself as my musical peak,” says Wayne at one point. “I wanna be the ultimate artist. What I mean by that is when I go to the stage and when you come to Wayne’s show, someday I want to be full of everyone. Like when you go to festivals, you got this certain type of music at this time, I wanna be in all those times because of I wanna be number 1 in all those times. Haven’t reached my musical peak.”

“You earned that,” responds Rick Ross. “You most definitely earned that brother. And I love it and that’s what makes you special.”
