Lil Nas X shares the “Montero” album tracklist.
Lil Nas X is all set to drop his highly anticipated debut album “MONTERO” later this month on September 17th and today he decided to unveil the official tracklist. Yesterday, he shared the NSFW Artwork for the project, which has been trending all over social media. Lil Nas revealed that the album will have 15 tracks with guest appearances from Doja Cat, Elton John, Megan Thee Stallion, and Miley Cyrus. He unveiled the tracklist with an incredible video trailer.
The album will also have already released singles like “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow. Last month, Lil Nas surpassed DaBaby to become a male rapper with the most monthly listeners on Spotify.
The singer stayed dormant throughout 2020 after his breakthrough track “Old Town Road,” only to return in November with “Holiday.” The singer will perform some of the songs from the album at the MTV VMAs before it is released.
The tracklist follows the artist’s release of the cover art for ‘Montero,’ and comes on the heels of his being named the Trevor Project’s Suicide Prevention Advocate of the Year. Lil Nas X’s candour about “struggling with his sexuality and suicidal ideation, his continuing advocacy around mental health problems, and his unabashed embrace of his gay identity” were mentioned by the group in a news statement.
