Lil Durk Confuses Fans With Certified Lover Boy and DONDA Post

Lil Durk references Certified Lover Boy and DONDA in his latest post.

Lil Durk is of the top trending name in hip-hop right now, who’s on everyone list for collaborations. He posted something on his IG recently which confused a lot of his 11 million followers on the social media platform. Lil Durk, who recently appeared on both Kanye West’s “DONDA” and Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album, posted a confusing caption referencing the project. He shared a series of pictures of himself, with a caption “Ask my bi*ch I was a CLB before it was a DONDA.

The post left fans scratching their heads with comments like, “am i the only one who didn’t get the caption?“, “ya caption jus pissed me off“, “What does that even mean“, “What do this ni**a be talking bout.

One fan also joked about Kanye removing him from “DONDA”. “Ye boutta remove him from DONDA [laughing emoji],” he wrote in reference to Ye recently removing Chris Brown from the album in the updated version.

The last photo in the slide is the same one Durk shared on Twitter lately to announce a collaboration with Lyrical Lemonade. So, there’s a chance the Chicago rapper is hinting to that in his Instagram caption, but it’s difficult to know without further context.

Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett also commented on the post, “OTF x LL,” a collaboration which Lil Durk announced on his Twitter.

On Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album, Durk featured on the song called “In The Bible”, and assisted Kanye West on “Jonah” in “DONDA”.

Durk is now on the “Back Outside” tour with Lil Baby to promote their collaboration album, The Voice of the Heroes. Throughout the rest of October, the duo will make stops in Louisville, Tampa, and other cities.

Durk must be having a good time right now. He has the most Billboard Hot 100 entries of any musician in 2021, according to reports earlier this month. With nine nominations, he is tied for the most at the upcoming 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards, which airs on Tuesday (Oct. 5). Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse, Best Collaboration, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Duo, and more are among his nominations.

It’s been a month since Certified Lover Boy was released, and many fans still consider Durk’s lyric on “In The Bible” to be the most lover-boy moment on the album. “India Royale cosmetic, I’m just promotin’ my bitch/Drake song do a billion streams for sure, I’m just promotin’ her trash,” Durk rapped throughout the verse. Drake was ecstatic that he was able to include the sentence into his song.
