Lil Baby Honored With Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award At Black Music Gala

Lil Baby receives Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award.

Lil Baby continues getting new accolades as the rapper is now honoured with Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award at Black Music Action Coalition’s second annual Music in Action Awards Gala. The ceremony took place on Thursday night at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

The rapper was given the award for his contributions to racial and social justice. The Atlanta rapper hosted his third annual Back to School Fest in his hometown this year, from which he provided essential school supplies and other things to more than 3,000 children.

“I honestly didn’t know what a humanitarian was, but as I looked into it and started reading, I understand that I’m actually humanitarian,” Lil Baby said in his speech. “I just want to say that I appreciate everybody in here because nothing that we doing or trying to do can be done by one person. It’s gonna take all of us to stick together and stay together.”

Lil Baby has boosted his influence in his community ever since debut of “The Bigger Picture” in 2020, giving back in a variety of ways, including back-to-school activities to establishing his $150,000 “My Turn” fund for pupils at his previous high school.

On September 2, the rapper from Quebec City officially unveiled It’s Only Me, the follow-up to his chart-topping album My Turn from 2020, along with a new song called “Detox.”
