Kodak Black Reveals That He Cried When Saweetie Chose Quavo Over Him

Kodak Black recalls being emotional when Saweetie didn’t pick him.

Saweetie has been causing some heartbreak lately, with rapper Kodak Black revealing that he cried when she chose Quavo over him. The news came to light during an Instagram Live conversation with fellow Florida rapper Yungeen Ace, in which Kodak admitted that he was left in tears when Saweetie decided to pursue a relationship with Quavo instead of him. Despite the heartbreak, Kodak has said that he still salutes their relationship and has since moved on to pursue other romantic interests.

“I said, when Saweetie picked Quavo over me she made me cry brother,” he revealed. “When Saweetie picked Quavo over me she made me cry, bro.”

The Bill Isreal rapper also sung a sad song “I caught a case again, forgive me one last time/Saweetie picked Quavo over me, she made me cry/Better be in bed by the time them killers come out at night,” he crooned.

In 2022, Saweetie released “Don’t Say Nothin’” on her EP The Single Life, addressing the rumors that she had started a relationship with Lil Baby shortly after her split from Quavo. The song included lyrics that seemed to be directed at these rumors.

“Why ni**as always speakin’ on who I’m f**kin’ on? / He must’ve got excited when I FaceTimed with nothin’ on,” Saweetie raps on the track. “Them same lips that’s yappin’ be the ones I nutted on / A hunnid K, please, know how much paper I be touchin’ on? / That’s light, better check my net worth / Post a pic’ in his sweatshirt, I bet it have my ex hurt / That’s what I get for kissin’ on these frogs/He got mad and told my business to the blogs.”

The track appears to respond to rumors that she was with Lil Baby shortly after her breakup with Quavo, with some speculating that a line about a $100,000 shopping spree was directed at those rumors. Both Quavo and Lil Baby have previously addressed the situation in their own music.

Kodak has recently expressed interest in other women, including GloRilla. During a live stream in 2022, Kodak commented on one of her posts and attempted to alter the lyrics of her hit song “Tomorrow” to fit his own purposes.
