Kanye West’s “Donda” album earned RIAA Platinum status.
While Kanye West’s latest album “Donda 2” failed to get on the Billboard charts after violating merchandise bundle policy with Stem Player, his last year’s “Donda” album continues to earn more milestones. Kanye West’s 10th studio album which was dropped on August 29, 2021, has now moved a million units in the US, and has received RIAA certified platinum status.
The project was debuted on #1 on Billboard 200 after a five-day period of tracking, with 309,000 album-equivalent units. It was Ye’s 10th consecutive chart-topper album on the US Billboard chart, which sees him tying a record with Eminem.

Donda has the highest first-day streams for an album on both Apple Music and Spotify in 2021. It was West’s tenth straight chart-topper on the US Billboard 200, tying Eminem’s record. The Donda Stem Player was published in October 2021, enabling users to remix the songs and contribute new ones, and a deluxe edition was released on November 14.
The album featured contributions from Jay-Z, DaBaby, Andre 3000, Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Baby Keem and more. The project is nominated for both Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
