Kanye West To Drop New Album Donda This Week, Previews New Music

Kanye West is releasing his new album “Donda” on July 23rd.

After all the speculations and rumors in the past few days, it is confirmed that Kanye West is dropping his highly anticipated album “Donda” on July 23rd. During Game 6 of the NBA Finals earlier tonight, a new Apple advertisement was aired which featured Sha’Carri Richardson. The spot featured music scored and edited by Kanye, which is taken from “No Child Left Behind“, a new song from the upcoming album “Donda”. This will be Kanye West’s 10th Solo Studio album which will drop through G.O.O.D. Music and Def Jam Recordings. The album was named after West’s mother, Donda West, who died in 2007 at the age of 58. There are currently no further details regarding the album, which West first announced on Twitter in July 2020.

Def Jam revealed that DONDA will make its global premiere on Thursday at a sold-out listening event at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which will be live-streamed globally via Apple. It will be a follow-up to West’s 2019 Grammy-winning album “Jesus is King“. With his last album, Kanye West surpassed the Beatles for the most consecutive number 1 album and tied with Eminem. The Detroit Rapper broke the tie with his 2020 album “Music To Be Murdered By“. Jesus Is King, Kanye West’s most recent studio album, was released in 2019. West’s Sunday Service Choir released Jesus Is Born, an LP of gospel music that he executive produced, on Christmas Day of that year. In 2018, he released his eighth solo album, ye, which was followed by Kids See Ghosts, a collaboration with Kid Cudi. West also executive produced albums by Teyana Taylor (K.T.S.E. ), Nas (Nasir), and Pusha T in the same year (Daytona).

Kanye West who recently made his return to Instagram cleared his profile feed and posted the new Beats By Dre commercial along with a post featuring his new pictures in a full face mask and a chain.
