Kanye West Hires Dr. Dre's Ex-Wife's Attorney In Divorce Battle Against Kim Kardashian

Kanye West fires his lawyer Chris Melcher in the Divorce case against Kim Kardashian.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are fighting the divorce battle, and just before their latest hearing, the rapper has fired his lawyer Chris Melcher. According to TMZ, the relationship between Kanye West and his attorney became extremely difficult. The sources suggest that the rapper sometimes said that he wants to settle things with Kim Kardashian, and at other times he wanted to put up a fight.

The GOOD Music boss recently dragged his estranged wife on social media, along with her new boyfriend Pete Davidson. “I very much desire to be divorced. Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media which has created emotional distress,” Kim Kardashian told the court recently.

It is now reported that Kanye West has now hired attorney Samantha Spector, who recently represented Nicole Young in her divorce with Dr. Dre. She is reportedly Ye’s fifth lawyer since Kardashian filed for divorce a year ago. Laura Wasser, who’s the current lawyer of Kim Kardashian, previously represented Dr. Dre, so it will be Wasser vs Spector.

The reasons for the split are unknown, but the news came just a day before a judge was set to hear arguments from Kim and Kanye’s lawyers on Wednesday (Mar. 2) over her decision to split her divorce from West into two parts – a procedure that will end their marriage immediately while deferring more complicated questions about assets and custody to later proceedings.

Kardashian proposed the quick-split tactic in December, but West objected only a few weeks ago. She immediately retaliated, claiming that his social media rants had caused her “mental turmoil” and that he needed “help” to “understand that our married relationship is gone.” Those charges were swiftly dismissed by Kanye as “hearsay.”
