Joey Badass Reveals He Played His Upcoming Album To Nas He Was Inspired

Joey Badass’ upcoming single gets a Nas Co-sign.

Joey Badass kicked off 2022 with his return to the music scene, as the rapper dropped his brand new come back single “The Rev3nge“. The Brooklyn native is now working on his upcoming new album, which is rumoured to drop later this year. This will be Joey Badass’ first album in 5 years, after 2017’s “All-Amerikkkan Badass.

While we’re yet to hear more from the upcoming project, the legendary Nas already got the taste off it. Joey Badass took to his Twitter to reveal that he played some of his album to Nas, and the “Illmatic” rapper also praised the upcoming new single from Badass.

“Played Nas some of the album and he said he was inspired. He also loved the next song I’m dropping for y’all, he called it “the perfect single”. Meant a lot hearing that from the [Goat emoji]. New raps on the way,” he wrote in a tweet.

After previously expressing his aversion for protracted undertakings, Joey said that the album will be more compact. He didn’t disclose how many songs will be on the album, but he did say how much he will spend as a customer. “I hate when motherf**kers put out an album longer than 14 songs,” Joey said. “Nobody wants to f**king listen to that. Nobody’s getting through that in a day. Granted kids are a big part of this sh*t, but bro, keep that sh*t. I don’t care if it was Michael Jackson, I am not listening to 25 songs. Less is more in my opinion.”
