Jeezy announces the new album ‘The Recession 2’ release date. Nov 20.

After announcing it in September, Jeezy has revealed the release date for his upcoming album ‘The Recession 2‘ which is a sequel to his critically acclaimed 2008 album. In a new album trailer, Jeezy has announced that the album will drop on Nov. 20th, the day after his VERZUZ battle with T.I. on November 19th. In September, Jeezy began teasing The Recession 2 on the original’s 12th anniversary. “12 years ago today I wrote The Recession, one of my best album to date,” he wrote. “As you can see we here again.

The camera focuses on a classic car: an Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency. It cuts to Jeezy gazing down, gradually and dramatically lifting his head with The Recession 2 written on the left side, which fades to reveal the November 20, 2020 release date.

YJ Music, Inc., Corporate Thugz, and Def Jam Recordings published the album on November 20, 2020. It’s a follow-up to his third album, The Recession (2008). Tamika Mallory, Yo Gotti, E-40, Demi Lovato, Lil Duval, Ne-Yo, and Rick Ross all make cameos on the album.

The 43-year-old recently appeared on The Breakfast Club, where he discussed how he wanted to put an end to his rivalry with Gucci Mane by facing off against Guwop in Season 2 of Verzuz, but Gucci declined.

I reached out, Swizz hit back and said he respectfully declined,” Jeezy explained. “Cool. Done. Kept it moving, I was gone do it for the culture. We could have did it for the culture. Hung up the phone, three minutes later, that when I seen my brother [T.I.’s] video calling me out. We could have done it for the culture. I’m in, it’s whatever.

Season 2 will now begin on November 19 with Jeezy and Tip’s Verzuz duel. On Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network, the “Put On” rapper also created The (Re) Session Podcast. Jeezy chops it up with author/life coach Tony Robbins in the first episode, which is currently online. Every Monday, new episodes will be published, for a total of eight in the limited series.

Last month, Jeezy teamed up with Yo Gotti for the song called ‘Back‘ which served as the latest single off the upcoming project.

Jeezy, who faced off against Gucci Mane in the newest episode of VERZUZ last night, is also the host of “Worth A Conversation,” a new weekly chat programme airing Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. (EST) / 7:00 p.m. (PST) on the new live, interactive streaming channel FOX Soul. REVOLT complimented “Worth A Conversation” for introducing “the businessman, who has been open about his opinions on President Donald Trump… [JEEZY] and his guests will talk about everything from politics to entertainment.”

THE RECESSION 2’s sequel, THE RECESSION, dealt firmly with another turbulent year of economic turmoil in 2008. On “The (Re)Session Audio by Jeezy,” his new weekly 8-episode limited podcast series, he discusses these themes and more, including mental health, prison reform, police brutality, sorrow, systemic racism, community, spirituality, and more. Last week, the podcast debuted in collaboration with media entrepreneur and radio hall of famer Charlamagne Tha GOD and iHeartMedia’s The Black Effect Podcast Network. “The (Re)Session Podcast by Jeezy” is now available on iHeartRadio and other podcast platforms.

Jeezy will face off against T.I. on the eve of the release of his album on the Season 2 premiere of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s acclaimed Verzuz series. The Recession 2 follows The Recession, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and generated hit singles including “Put On” with Kanye West and “My President” with Nas.

Jeezy and Tip’s Verzuz battle, which was originally scheduled for November 2020, has been rescheduled to take place on November 19th as the Season 2 opener. Additionally, the rapper behind the hit “Put On” has launched his own podcast, The (Re) Session Podcast, on Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network. The debut episode features Jeezy in conversation with author and life coach Tony Robbins and is currently available for streaming. A total of eight episodes will be released, with new ones dropping every Monday. Jeezy has also announced that he will be releasing music in conjunction with each episode.

In 2022, Jeezy linked up with DJ Drama for a gangsta grillz project called “Snofall“. The project had 17 tracks, with featured appearances from 42 Dugg, EST Gee, Lil Durk and more. The album charted inside Billboard 200 top 10 after moving over 31,000 equivalent units in the first week.
