Watch New Footage Shows Jada Pinkett Laughing After Will Smith Slapped Chris Rock At Oscars 2022

Jada Pinkett was seen laughing at Will Smith smacking Chris Rock.

Everyone is still divided over what happened at the 94th annual Academy Awards a few days ago, where Will Smith slapped the comedian Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett’s bald head. Chris Rock was performing a bit on the stage, where he referred to Will Smith’s wife as “G.I. Jane”. Just after the joke, Smith walked on the stage and straight away slapped the comedian on the face, and shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f**king mouth.”

Now new footage from the event is released, which shows Jada laughing after Smith smacked Chris on the face. “Will Smith just smacked the sh*t outta me,” said Rock, after which Pinkett was seen laughing. The mother of two also chuckled when Chris Rock said, “greatest night in the history of television.”

Now the fans are calling out Jada Pinkett, over her social media post about healing. “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it,” she wrote.

In a statement released by the Academy, it is revealed that “King Richard” was asked to leave the event after the slap but he refused. “Things unfolded in a way we could not have anticipated,” the Academy said in a statement. “While we would like to clarify that Mr. Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused, we also recognize we could have handled the situation differently.”

In the comments section, viewers slammed Pinkett Smith, with one writing: “She put Will in trouble.”
Meanwhile, minutes after being smacked by Smith on the Oscars stage, a viral video shows Rock appearing distraught and ashamed.

As he clutches the Oscars statuette, the comedian has a mournful expression on his face and looks lost in contemplation, prompting one spectator to speculate that he was “in a profound state of embarrassment.”

Rock performed in Boston on Wednesday night, marking his first public performance since the Oscars controversy.
