Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby” Tops Billboard Hot 100, Jack Harlow Celebrates his first number 1 song.

Jack Harlow earns his first number 1 Billboard Hot 100 song. A few months ago, Jack Harlow assisted Lil Nas X on a surprise collaboration called “Industry Baby“. The song was released with an official NSFW music video, in which Lil Nas was dancing nak*d with other cellmates in the prison. The Kanye West-produced track which debuted at #2 on Billboard Hot 100, has now peaked as it grabs the top spot on the chart this week.

The milestone earned Jack Harlow his first ever number 1 song on the Hot 100, and the Kentucky artist celebrate it with a post on his Social Media. “My first number one. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t see this coming while I was writing my verse. Thank you for having me @lilnasx. This song is something I am gonna be proud to be a part of for the rest of my life. As for what’s next…buckle up…,” he wrote.

“According to MRC Data, ‘Industry Baby’ reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated Oct. 23) with 64 million radio airplay listener impressions (up 10%), 23.2 million U.S. streaming (down 1%), and 34,300 downloads (up 564%) in the week of Oct. 14. The song gives Lil Nas X his third Hot 100 No. 1 after “Old Town Road,” with Billy Ray Cyrus, and “Montero (Call Me by Your Name),” while Harlow gets his first.

Lil Nas X also responded to Jack Harlow’s post and said, “thank u for being part of this!!. thank u for being cool with me doing me. it means the world brother. can’t wait for the world to see more of what you can do! much love.

The track appeared on Lil Nas X’s latest album “MONTERO“, and it second number 1 song from the project, after the title track “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)“. The duo also performed the song at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.
