Ja Rule Reacts To Not Being Named In Billboard's 50 Best Rappers List Check My Resume

Ja Rule is not happy with Billboard’s top 50 rappers list.

To Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, Billboard and Vibe have listed the 50 greatest rappers of all time. The criteria for choosing the artists in the list include the body of work/achievements (charted singles/albums, gold/platinum certifications), cultural impact/influence (how the artist’s work fostered the genre’s evolution), longevity (years at the mic), lyrics (storytelling skills) and flow (vocal prowess).

Ja Rule is one of the rappers who did not make the top 50 list, and he showed his disappointment on social media. “There ain’t 50 rappers dead, alive or waiting to be born better than me… #ICONN #Vibes @billboard congrats to everyone on the list well deserved but check my resume… #ICONN #Vibes,” he wrote.

“Throw me to the wolves I’ll come back leading the pack… #ICONN #Vibes,” he stated in another post. “I’m what they call a POLARIZING figure… You can love me or hate me but you will respect me… Men lie Women lie numbers don’t!!!,” he stated in another photo.

Ice Cube expressed his displeasure with Billboard’s recent release of their Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All-Time list. Despite being listed at #18, Cube was not satisfied with his ranking. This comes after the rapper’s recent collaboration with Mount Westmore on the release of Snoop Cube 40 $hort. “I don’t f**k with Billboard or the editor,” “Billboard ain’t hip-hop, so their opinion don’t matter. So who gives a f**k? “It’s an irrelevant list. It’s like a*sholes; everyone got one and they all stink.”

The list is topped by JAY-Z, who’s named the number 1 greatest rapper of all time. The second on the list is Kendrick Lamar, followed by Nas at number three.
