J.I.D Reveals The Forever Story Album Tracklist Feat. Lil Wayne, Lil Durk & More

J.I.D shares “The Forever Story” tracklist.

J.I.D is all set to drop his third studio album “The Forever Story” this week on August 26, and today he unveiled the official tracklist. The 15-track project is laced with recently released “Surround Sound” with 21 Savage & Baby Tate, “Dance Now” with Kenny Mason and more. He also dropped a track titled “2007” with J. Cole, Ibrahim Hamad & His Father, which doesn’t appear on the project.

The additional guest appearances come from EarthGang on “Can’t Punk Me”, Lil Durk & Mustafa on “Bruddanem”, Ari Lennox on “Can’t Make You Change”, Lil Wayne & Kenny Mason on “Just in time”, Johnta Austin on “Better Days” and more. “The official features on The Forever Story, wana say thank you to everyone who helped put these words and sounds together, this meant the world to me because none of this way east and your gave your all to my vision,” he wrote.

“As we draw near to The Forever Story, I wanna give insight on the process of trying to put together a solid body work. Initially I wanted to create an album that serves as an origin story and speaks to who I am and what I came from. This song has been in the works for 2 years and was supposed to be the outro on the album. Things didn’t work out but this story is too pertinent to the picture we want to paint. This has been the heaviest project for me to make and I take pride in my vulnerability that came in the midst of creation,” he wrote on his IG recently.

JID’s third studio album, The Forever Story, is his follow-up to his well praised sophomore release from 2018, DiCaprio 2. JID originally revealed this undertaking on August 27, 2019, in a series of tweets that hinted at a release for brand-new songs in October. He said that his desire to release some new songs was due to his being “depressed.”
