J. Cole Reveals him Favourite Eminem's Music

Mr. Porter talks about J. Cole’s favorite Eminem Music.

Earlier this week, Denaun Porter, aka Mr. Porter teamed up with HNHH for an exclusive interview where he talks about his experience working with Eminem, Producing music, and more. He also talks about his conversation with J. Cole, and when the Dreamville boss reveals his favorite joint. He said, “J. Cole told me he loved the beat from “Infinite” and it f**ked me up. I was like, how did you even know about that song! He said it was one of his favorite joints. I was flattered by that, and I was around his age when he told me that.”

We started off making albums. That’s me and Em’s relationship. So anytime he was working on an album, that was the thing. I started off producing, I didn’t start off making beats. On Infinite, I knew I wanted it to sound soulful. I wanted people to hear him over some sh*t like that. I knew he could rap. The first thing I told him was “Em, you gotta slow down.” He rapped so fast, I was like man could you say this slower? And that started it.

While “Infinite” isn’t easy to discover in its whole (the album has yet to hit streaming sites, and it doesn’t appear to be a probable prospect), Em did recently share the title track. The iconic single has remained a fan favorite and a window into Eminem’s formative style as a lyrically driven blast from the past.

Denaun was startled to find that J. Cole was a huge fan of “Infinite.” Denaun laughed, “J. Cole told me he loved the beat from “Infinite,” and it f**ked me up.” “I was like, how did you even know about that song! He said it was one of his favorite joints. I was flattered by that, and I was around his age when he told me that.”

Despite the fact that they’ve never worked together, Cole and Em have a strong bond. Cole has previously said that he is a huge Em fan, and Slim made a point of mentioning Cole on “The Ringer” and “Fall” off Kamikaze. It’s hardly surprising that Cole holds Infinite in such high regard, given his own artistic preferences. Check out our recent interview with Mr. Porter right here for additional pearls from the Detroit legend — and trust us, there are plenty.
