Denaun Porter Reveals Eminem's Personal Favorite Verse Performance

Denaun Porter reveals Eminem’s favorite performance.

Denaun Porter recently sat down with HotNewHipHop for an in-depth interview where talks about working in the pandemic, creating beats for 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, Method Man, The Game, Eminem, Hopsin and more. He also talks about starting working with a Young Eminem and creating his first album “Infinite“.

During a joint interview with rapper and producer Denaun Porter, who today serves as Eminem’s long-serving hype man during live shows, the former D12 member spoke on that same topic. Denaun talked up about the Los Angeles recording sessions with the Good Doctor on the Dirty Dozen’s iconic first album Devil’s Night, which included primarily production from himself, Eminem, and Dr. Dre.

In the interview, he also revealed Eminem’s favorite verse he’s ever performed. “I remember doing the album and working on “Ain’t Nothin’ But Music” with Dre, and “Fight Music” came out of that session there, in L.A,” recalls Denaun. “I remember trying to figure out what to do. I don’t remember if we had “Purple Pills” already, that might have come early in the game. But “Fight Music” was a no-brainer. Em always said, he still says that that’s his best vocal performance ever, in his whole career. From the verse to the hook, he felt like that was his best. And I would say that’s one of my best, and one of my favorites.

Many consider Em’s work with D12 to be some of his greatest, so it’s not surprising that he still holds his Devil’s Night performances in high regard, even if he rarely speaks about them. If you want to learn more about where something comes from, look into the interview.
