J. Cole and Diddy jokingly re-enact their 2013 altercation in a new video.
J. Cole recently dropped his sixth studio album “The Off-Season” which debuted at #1 on Billboard 200, and it also featured a song called “Let Go My Hand” where he addresses rumored fight with Diddy in 2013. “My last scrap was with Puff Daddy, who would’ve thought it?” raps Cole. “I bought that ni**a album in seventh grade and played it so much / You would’ve thought my favorite rapper was Puff / Back then I ain’t know sh*t, now I know too much.”
A little about the rivalry between J. Cole and Diddy. Back in 2013, rumors circulated that J. Cole and Diddy had gotten into an altercation at an MTV VMAs afterparty. While keeping anonymity, some of the persons who were apparently present at the moment also commented about it. The two, on the other hand, never confirmed or denied anything. The duo can be seen poking fun at it in the video above, which was released eight years ago.
But now it looks like there are no differences between the two icons as they hilariously recreate the incident in a new clip. The duo reunites where they jokingly take stances of fighting each other.

Recently, J. Cole’s manager Ibrahim “IB” Hamad detailed the rumored altercation which happened at the MTV VMAs 2013 Afterparty. “The Puff story… I just remember hearing about it and laughing,” says Hamad. “I’m not gonna go into detail, but it’s definitely not what people are saying,” he says on people thinking if the fight was over Kendrick Lamar.
“It was definitely not like he was defending Kendrick or something,” explains Ibrahim. “It wasn’t like, ‘Don’t talk to Kendrick like that!’ Kendrick was there, Top was there, Jay was there, Beyonce was there. Me and Cole. You know, grown men. Got a little heated. All I remember is, me and Jay looking at each other like, ‘Oh, these n***as ‘bout to fight.’ And then just being like, ‘Oh no this is ‘bout to happen.’ I’ll leave it at that.”
