Taylor Swift is Named IFPI’s Global Recording artist of the year 2022.
IFPI, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry has revealed the best-selling artists of 2022, which is topped by Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift released her latest album “Midnights” last year, which helps her win the IFPI Global Recording Artist of the Year Award for the third time (2014, 2019 and 2022), which is the most by any artist.

The second on the list is K-Pop sensation BTS, which is their third consecutive year in the Top 3 following back-to-back wins in 2020 and 2021.
The best-selling rap artist last year was Drake, who is named number 3 on the overall list. In 2022, the Toronto rap star released two chart-topping albums “Honestly, Nevermind” and a joint project with 21 Savage “Her Loss”.
The other best-selling hip-hop artists on the lists are Eminem at number 11, Kanye West at 12, NBA Youngboy at 13, Kendrick Lamar at 14, Lil Baby at 15, Post Malone at 17 and late Juice WRLD at number 18.
Frances Moore, the chief executive of IFPI, announced the award, praising Swift as “a truly magnificent international star, who continues to grow and evolve as an artist whilst maintaining an incredibly strong connection with her fans around the world.”
