Ice T Gives A Warning To Young Rappers Ahead Of Super Bowl

Ice T tells young rappers to play it safe in LA for the Super Bowl.

It’s the Super Bowl weekend, and fans and celebrities are heading to LA for the NFL Championship. This year, the Super Bowl LVI halftime show will be headlined by Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige. It will also be the first Super Bowl halftime concert to involve deaf rappers, with MCs Sean Forbes and Warren “WaWa” Snipe slated to perform an American Sign Language set that will establish a precedent.

While it’s the week for the partygoers, rapper Ice T gives a warning to the young artists. Large numbers of people are expected to arrive on Los Angeles for the 2022 Super Bowl, which will be played on Sunday (Feb. 13) between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, including many young rappers who intend to enjoy and partake in extracurricular activities. Ice-T, an L.A. native, recently urged artists visiting the city to be cautious.

“SuperBowlWeekend: Not a Threat, just a Warning.. Young Rappers coming to LA for the Super Bowl weekend. LA has over 50Thousand ACTIVE Gang Members.. Make sure you play it SAFE. It’s the Wild Wild West,” he wrote.

Gang connection is still prevalent in a huge number of Los Angeles neighbourhoods and communities. Even people associated with the activities may be in danger, as Drakeo The Ruler’s sudden death demonstrated. Not only that, but those who come only for the Super Bowl will strike it rich in some way, given the exorbitant ticket costs for this year’s game. Being excessively showy or easily available is a recipe for disaster, since certain gangs will go after you for whatever you have.

One such incident already happened last night, as Kodak Black was involved in a fight outside the Justin Bieber Concert after-party in West Hollywood, where multiple gunshots were fired, injuring around 4 people.
