“Genius” reveals the list of all-time top most viewed lyrics, Songs & Artists.
Big Sean and Eminem’s new track “No Favors” is currently Hot on the Lyrics website Genius as it’s the top trending song on the website since it’s released. But It’s not the only list where Eminem is on Top, Genius reveals the list of most viewed track lyrics of all time, and Eminem’s Hit “Rap God” Topped the list with over 8.9m views, followed by Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” and Rihanna’s “Work“.
The Detroit rapper also topped the list of most-viewed line’s with his “I’m beginning to feel like a Rap God, Rap God” line off the same track “Rap God“. The Top 3 artists of Genius are Drake, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar, followed by Eminem on 4.
When it comes to Genius, Spotify has been working with them since 2016 on their “Behind the Lyrics” feature, which shows lyrics and information from Genius for chosen tracks, allowing users to “see annotated lyrics for songs while you listen to them.” Previously, opening up the album art while playing music exposes a black tab beneath the art that reads “Behind the Lyrics,” allowing users to access the function. As of 2021, the functionality is housed within the music player itself, so users may scroll up to discover the entire piece of information.
The data was measured from December 15, 2020, to June 15, 2021, and the results were collected in the 2021 Year in Lyrics. This year, Genius saw a significant increase in pageviews for artists including Taylor Swift, Eminem, Drake, and Juice WRLD as a result of both the popularity of their recent releases and/or their extensive back catalogues.
Genius analysed the figures to determine out which tracks, musicians, records, and fans wanted to hear. It has collected data from December 15, 2020 to June 15, 2021 and compiled it in the 2021 Year in Lyrics.
Thanks to their new songs and/or significant interest in their extensive back catalogues, Taylor Swift, Eminem, Drake, and Juice WRLD all amassed enormous pageview totals on Genius this year, but none of them could compete with a 17-year-old Disney star called Olivia Rodrigo. With chart-topping hits like “drivers licence” and “good 4 u,” the singer made a significant impression this year, leading to the release of her first album, SOUR.
In 2022, Eminem was among the year’s most-viewed rappers on Genius, as he hold the 5th spot with 13.5 million pages views. The list was topped by Kendrick Lamar with 19.5, followed by Kanye West with 17.5m, Juice WRLD with 14.9m and Drake at fourth with 14.2 million pageviews
