DJ Akademiks calls Freddie Gibbs an “Internet Gangsta”.
A few days ago, the feud between Freddie Gibbs and DJ Akademiks reignited after they takes shots at each other in a series of tweets. Now they continued throwing jabs on Twitter as their beef heats up. DJ Akademiks shared a clip of his recent twitch stream, where he rants about Freddie Gibbs and brought up the discussion of Gibbs getting shot from a 6ix9ine’s crew member.
“I could expose this ni–a right now,” he says. “Don’t talk about you coulda done this, done that. Ni–a shot at you long time ago ni–a. Harv shot at you. 6ix9ine told us that, ni–a. I pulled the whole article right now. You ain’t get no get-back. You ran from New York like a bi–h. Stop playing with me, ni–a. Acting like you some big bad ni–a because I’m a blogger? You can’t beef with no rapper?”

Akademiks then continues his rant about Gibbs on twitter. “Every day u tweet about me instead of spinning like u rap about u just a fake a-s rap Ni–a to me. @FreddieGibbs,” he wrote. “Freddie Gibbs literally a internet gangsta who get online trolling for jokes and retweets and talking like he a steppa. Well @FreddieGibbs u n everybody say I’m a bi–h. It’s on u to make a example of me. But please for the love of God.. STOP TWEETING. Start Spinning.”
Akademiks reappeared to announce the reactivation of his Instagram accounts, blaming Gangsta Gibbs of being to blame for his brief social media hiatus. Gibbs “snitched” on him, according to Ak, and he doesn’t want “any more smoke” with such a guy. “I got my Instagram back… they said that @FreddieGibbs snitched on me … but I beat the case,” he wrote. “Freddie I don’t want no more beef with u. U literally police.”
He continued, “From here on out.. @FreddieGibbs I’m telling u .. u tweet at me it’s silence… u snitched on me to instagram.. u got it. U out internet me bro. Call J Prince .. cuz I don’t want no more smoke with u. U win. Just stop telling please.”

Freddie Gibbs then snapped back at AK with a series of threatening tweets. “Ni–a shut yo pu–y a-s up before I spin U,” he wrote. “Last time U lost your job don’t lose your life trying to make a point that u can’t prove @Akademiks.”

The feud between Freddie Gibbs and DJ Akademiks arises from a June 2020 interview in which Gibbs referred to his former label boss and competitor Jeezy as “irrelevant” artistically. “If Jeezy is irrelevant, Freddie Gibbs, you are completely irrelevant as well,” Akademiks said. Freddie Gibbs has threatened to “abuse” Akademiks until he quits his job, and has mocked him for being “fired” from Complex’s now-defunct web series Everyday Struggle.
