Eminem’s Ex-Wife Kim Mathers To Be Sentenced After Drunk Driving Crash
Eminem’s ex-wife, Kimberly Mathers, is set to be sentenced next month after pleading no contest in a drunk driving and hit-and-run case.
According to reports, Kim Mathers appeared in New Baltimore’s 42-2 District Court this week, where she pleaded no contest to charges connected to a crash that happened in February 2026. Police say Kim was driving a white Range Rover while impaired when she crashed into a parked Dodge Ram pickup truck. Investigators said the impact was so strong that the truck was pushed nearly 50 feet from where it was originally parked.

Authorities also claimed that Kim left the scene after the accident. Reports say her son and some of his friends were inside the vehicle during the crash.
Kim was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and failure to stop after a collision. Both charges are misdemeanors under Michigan law. She is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17, 2026. Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido spoke about the case and warned about the dangers of drunk driving.
“Driving under the influence is not a lapse in judgment… it is a deliberate decision that puts every person on the road at risk,” Lucido said in a statement. “We see the consequences far too often: lives lost, families shattered, and communities changed forever.”
This is not the first time Kim has faced legal trouble related to driving incidents. Back in 2015, she reportedly crashed an SUV into a utility pole and a ditch in Chesterfield Township. As per reports at the time, the incident was connected to an alleged suicide attempt. Court records from that case were later sealed, and Kim eventually received probation and a fine.

Kim Mathers is widely known for her long, complicated relationship with Detroit rapper Eminem. The two first met as teenagers and were together on and off for many years. They married for the first time in 1999 but divorced in 2001 after a very public and difficult relationship.
Despite the divorce, the two later reunited and got married again in 2006. However, the second marriage only lasted a few months before they divorced once again later that same year.
Their relationship became one of the most talked-about celebrity relationships in hip-hop history, with Em often referencing Kim in his music over the years. Songs like “Kim” and “’97 Bonnie & Clyde” brought major attention to their troubled relationship and personal struggles.
Although the two had many ups and downs, they continued co-parenting their daughter, Hailie Jade, after their split. Hailie Jade, who married her longtime boyfriend Evan McClintock a couple of years back, gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, last year.
Kim Mathers’ sentencing is currently scheduled for June 17, when the court will decide the consequences for the recent crash case.
