Even after 20 years of his legendary career, the Rap God Eminem is still outselling his counterparts. BuzzAngle Music released their annual year-end report and it revealed that Eminem sold more albums (pure album sales) than any other music artist. Eminem has achieved the title of the top artist in 2018 based solely on album sales. During the calendar year, the 46-year-old rapper sold over 755,000 records.
Three singles were released to promote the album: “Fall,” “Venom,” from the 2018 film of the same name, and “Lucky You,” as well as a music video for “Good Guy” and a supporting tour. The album debuted at number one in 18 countries, making it Eminem’s eighth straight number-one album in the United States and the best-selling hip-hop album of 2018. The Recording Industry Association of America later awarded it platinum certification (RIAA).
Eminem sold 755,027 units in 2018, half of those came from his hit platinum album ‘Kamikaze‘ which was the 4th bestselling album of the year and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
